When to book, and when to ask us first
HydraFacial can be adapted for many common skin goals, but the right option depends on your current skin, recent treatments and the result you want most.
Often suitable for
Dehydrated or dull-looking skin, mild surface congestion, uneven-looking texture, event preparation and clients wanting minimal interruption to their routine.
Talk to us first when
Skin is highly reactive, prescription-strength skincare is being used, or you have recently had a peel, laser or injectable treatment.
Treatment may need to be postponed
Active infection, open wounds, significant sunburn, an active cold sore or severe irritation should be discussed before an appointment is confirmed.
When another treatment may suit you better. Deeper acne scarring, significant laxity, stronger resurfacing goals or active inflammation may be better approached with microneedling, a chemical peel, a staged plan or an assessment first. For breakouts, see our acne treatment page.
What HydraFacial can and cannot promise
Some clients notice skin that looks more hydrated, smoother or refreshed after treatment. No facial can guarantee a specific result, and the photos above are individual outcomes, not a prediction. Your practitioner will recommend the option that best matches your skin, even when that is a simpler one.

What is the difference between Signature, Deluxe and Platinum HydraFacial?
Signature is the core treatment: cleanse, exfoliate, extract and hydrate. Deluxe adds a targeted booster and LED light therapy. Platinum adds lymphatic drainage to the complete Deluxe treatment.
How long does a HydraFacial take?
Signature takes 45 minutes, Deluxe 60 minutes and Platinum 75 minutes. These are the appointment lengths in our booking system.
Does every HydraFacial include LED light therapy?
No. Signature provides the core treatment, while Deluxe and Platinum include LED as part of their additional stages.
Is HydraFacial painful?
HydraFacial is generally described as a comfortable facial rather than a painful procedure. The extraction stage can feel more noticeable over congested areas, and individual sensitivity varies, so settings and treatment level are chosen around your skin.
Is there downtime after HydraFacial?
HydraFacial usually involves little interruption to normal activities, and many clients return to their routine straight away. Temporary redness, tightness or sensitivity can still occur, particularly in reactive or congested skin.
Can I wear makeup after HydraFacial?
It is usually best to leave the skin makeup-free straight after HydraFacial. If you need to wear makeup, follow the aftercare advice given for the exact protocol and products used.
How soon will I see HydraFacial results?
Some clients notice a fresher, smoother or more hydrated appearance soon after treatment. How much changes, and for how long, depends on skin condition, treatment level, home care and individual response, so no specific result can be guaranteed.
How often should I have a HydraFacial?
There is no single interval that is right for everyone. It depends on your skin, goals, tolerance, budget and wider skincare plan. Your practitioner suggests the next appointment after seeing how your skin responds.
Can HydraFacial help congested skin?
HydraFacial cleansing and vortex extraction may help improve the appearance of mild surface congestion and clogged-looking pores. Active inflammatory acne, deeper scarring or significant irritation may need a different or staged treatment plan.
Can HydraFacial be combined with microneedling?
Yes. HydraFacial + Microneedling costs £180 and takes 75 minutes. The protocol may be adjusted for skin tolerance, recent treatments and your goals.
What does the skin analysis scan show?
Our skin analysis photographs your face from the left, front and right under several light modes, including daylight, polarised light, UV and Wood's light. The images help your practitioner assess redness, pigmentation, pores, texture and congestion, and compare your skin at later visits. It supports your consultation; it is not a medical diagnosis.
Is the skin analysis included in my HydraFacial?
The Skin Analysis is a separate 30-minute appointment for £30, for when you want a full plan before choosing a treatment. The fee comes off your treatment if you go ahead. Your HydraFacial booking covers the treatment time shown in the price list.
When might another treatment be more suitable?
When the main concern is deeper acne scarring, significant laxity, stronger resurfacing, active inflammation or something that needs medical review. In those cases your practitioner may recommend microneedling, a peel, a staged plan or an assessment first.
