Because hair changes slowly, a course rather than a single session is the usual recommendation. Course structure and pricing are confirmed at your consultation, once we have seen the scalp and agreed what is realistic — including the answer that a course is not the right spend for you.
Four ways we support hair and scalp
Hair thinning and shedding can have many causes, so our pathway starts with a scalp and history assessment rather than a promise of regrowth.
Hair-Loss Consultation
We look at when the shedding or thinning started, the pattern of change, scalp symptoms, family history, medication, nutrition, stress and any previous treatment. The aim is to identify a sensible next step, not to diagnose every cause within an aesthetic appointment. Consistent photographs and a realistic timeline are set up here so progress can be measured rather than remembered.
Hair Mesotherapy
Small superficial injections of a selected scalp formulation. The intended role is to support the scalp environment. It does not diagnose an underlying hair-loss condition and does not guarantee follicle recovery or new growth. A course is usually recommended because hair changes slowly.
Microneedling for Hair
Controlled microneedling across the planned scalp area, using a medical microneedling device. Same role, same honest limits: it supports the scalp environment rather than treating an underlying medical cause.
HydraScalp with Keravive
A cleanse, exfoliation and hydration treatment for the scalp itself, available for partial or full scalp. This is scalp health rather than hair-loss treatment, and we keep the two clearly separate.
Am I suitable?

Hair loss can reflect hormonal, nutritional, inflammatory, autoimmune or other medical factors. GP assessment, blood tests or specialist referral may therefore be recommended before aesthetic treatment.
How the course is structured
We follow the standard supportive protocol used for scalp mesotherapy and microneedling. It is set out here so you know the full commitment before you book anything.
Session one to six, two to four weeks apart
Because hair changes slowly, a course rather than a single session is the normal recommendation. Four to six sessions is the usual starting course.
Photographs at every visit
Taken the same way each time, so the review is based on comparable images rather than impression.
Review at around three months
The first fair point to judge change. Progress is reviewed with those photographs and any relevant medical investigations, not by how the scalp looks immediately after a session.
Maintenance, only if it earned it
If the review shows nothing, we say so and stop rather than rolling you into another course.
What happens at your appointment
Consultation, 45 minutes
History, scalp examination, photographs and a written plan. You leave knowing what is recommended and what it costs in total.
Treatment session, 75 minutes
The planned area is cleansed and treated. Most of the appointment is preparation and aftercare rather than the treatment itself.
Straight afterwards
Redness and tenderness are normal and usually settle within a day or two.
After your session
The first 24 hours
Leave the scalp alone. Expect redness and tenderness.
Hair washing and products
Your practitioner gives you the specific timing and which products to pause, based on the treatment you have had and your scalp.
Heat, sweat and swimming
Avoid saunas, steam rooms and swimming until you are told it is fine to go back.
Tell us beforehand
If you have a history of cold sores, scalp infection, or you have recently started a new medication, say so before the session rather than after.
What can go wrong
Published in full rather than buried, because you should decide with this in front of you.
- Common and temporary: redness, tenderness, swelling, irritation and bruising.
- Less common: infection, allergy, pigment change or scarring.
- Not a cure: no treatment offered here can guarantee follicle recovery, new growth, or prevent future loss.
- Wrong pathway: active scalp infection, unexplained sudden loss or certain medical histories require a different route, and we will redirect you.

How many sessions will I need?
Four to six is the usual starting course, two to four weeks apart, with a review at around three months. At £150 a session that is £600 to £900 in total, and we tell you which end is realistic before you commit.
Does it hurt?
Both treatments are tolerable for most people. Redness and tenderness afterwards are normal and usually settle within a day or two. HydraScalp is not uncomfortable.
Is it permanent?
No. Hair changes slowly and any benefit is maintained only while something is being done. We say this before you start rather than after.
Will it regrow my hair?
We cannot promise that. These treatments support the scalp environment. They do not diagnose an underlying hair-loss condition and do not guarantee follicle recovery or new growth.
Do I need a consultation first?
The Hair-Loss Consultation is the starting point and does not itself require a prior consultation. Book that first if you are unsure what you need.
Does the consultation fee come off the treatment?
Yes. The £30 deposit comes off your treatment. Ask every clinic this, because it is commonly not the case.
How long is each appointment?
Consultation 45 minutes. Hair Mesotherapy and Microneedling for Hair 75 minutes each. HydraScalp 45 minutes for partial scalp, 60 for full scalp.
Do I need to see my GP first?
Sometimes. Hair loss can reflect hormonal, nutritional, inflammatory, autoimmune or other medical factors, so GP assessment, blood tests or specialist referral may be recommended before aesthetic treatment. We will tell you at the consultation if that is the case.
What are the side effects?
Redness, tenderness, swelling, irritation and bruising are common and temporary. Infection, allergy, pigment change or scarring are less common.
What is the downtime?
Minimal. Most people carry on as normal, with redness and tenderness settling within a day or two.

What is the difference between mesotherapy and microneedling for hair?

What is HydraScalp with Keravive?
A scalp cleanse, exfoliation and hydration treatment. It addresses the condition of the scalp itself rather than treating hair loss, and we keep that distinction clear.
Can I combine treatments?
Often yes, and the order matters. The plan is set at the consultation rather than picked from a menu.
How will I know if it is working?
Consistent photographs taken the same way at every visit, reviewed at around three months alongside any relevant medical investigations. Not by how your scalp looks straight after a session.
Do you do hair transplants?
No. We do not perform hair transplant surgery.
